Project Overview: Driveway Retaining Wall
The Challenge
This Fort Thomas homeowner had a driveway wall that had been slowly failing for years — settling unevenly under the weight of daily vehicle traffic and starting to lean. The original wall was never built to handle the load a driveway puts on it, and without proper drainage behind it, water was making the problem worse every season.

Solution
The Solution
We removed the failing wall and rebuilt it from the base up as an engineered system designed specifically for vehicle load — not a standard garden wall doing a job it was never rated for. That meant excavating down to stable ground, compacting a proper base, and installing drainage behind the wall before a single block went back in, so water pressure won't be the reason this wall fails a second time.
Execution & Finishing
The Result
A driveway retaining wall built to carry the weight it actually sees every day, with the drainage in place to keep it that way for decades — not just until the next heavy rain.
