The Challenge
This Crestview Hills backyard was a sloped, underused space — not level enough for a real patio and not doing much for the homeowner besides needing to be mowed. Without a wall to hold the grade, there was no way to carve out a flat, usable footprint big enough for actual outdoor living.
Solution
The Solution
We built a retaining wall to hold back the slope and create a level, structural base for a paver patio — proper drainage installed behind the wall first, so the new patio surface stays stable instead of settling or shifting the way loose sloped ground eventually does. The result ties the wall and the hardscape together as one finished system rather than two separate projects.
Execution & Finishing
The Result
A flat, usable outdoor living space with a fire pit and seating area where there used to be just a slope — the retaining wall doing the structural work that made the patio possible in the first place.
